How Lifetime Kitchen & Bath Came to Serve Coastal & Middle Georgia Homeowners
Lifetime Kitchen & Bath is a locally owned kitchen and bathroom remodeling company based in Dublin, Georgia, but our story didn’t begin in a showroom, an office, or a formal business meeting.
It began in Sunday school at Dudley Baptist Church, where Wade Kendrick and Shane Shriver first met. Shane was teaching there before leaving to serve as an interim pastor at another local church. Wade stayed at Dudley Baptist for a time before helping start a new church in the area, but he would still preach where Shane was serving whenever he needed someone to fill in.
Over time, this friendship became the foundation for a bath and kitchen remodeling company built around trust, complementary strengths, and a shared belief that Middle Georgia homeowners deserve the very best.
From Friendship to a Shared Home Remodeling Vision
At the time, Shane was responsible for assisted living facilities requiring regular maintenance, repairs, and room turnovers. Reliable help was hard to find, so he turned to Wade.
Wade brought a lifetime of construction experience. He grew up around job sites, came from a family with a large construction company, studied civil engineering, and built his career in construction and contracting. Shane brought a background in accounting, along with strong administrative and financial skills.
As they worked together, Wade and Shane grew closer as friends, fellow pastors, and business partners. Their strengths fit naturally: Wade had the hands-on construction knowledge, and Shane had the detail-focused, numbers-driven side of the business.
Eventually, the next step was clear. They decided to build a home remodeling company together.
What Assisted Living Facilities Taught Us About Bathroom Accessibility
While working in assisted living facilities, Wade and Shane noticed a pattern. Many of the biggest daily challenges older adults faced were in the bathroom.
Getting in and out of a bathtub could be difficult or unsafe. Some spaces lacked grab bars, convenient storage, or assistive features. A bathroom that might work fine for a younger, fully mobile adult could become a serious obstacle for someone aging in place or dealing with mobility limitations.
That experience shaped our early direction. Wade became certified as an Aging in Place Specialist and an Environmental Access Consultant so we could help people stay in their homes longer and use their bathrooms with more confidence.
For Lifetime Kitchen & Bath, safety-focused bathroom remodeling was not just a service category. It came from seeing real people struggle with real spaces and understanding how much better thoughtful design could improve daily life.
From Lifetime Bath & Glass to Lifetime Kitchen & Bath
Years later, Wade and Shane knew a Dublin couple who owned a glass business that had supported many of their projects. When the couple was ready to retire, they sold the business to Wade and Shane, allowing us to bring bathtub, shower, and custom glass work together under one operation.
That’s how Lifetime Bath & Glass was born, combining full shower and bathtub replacements with shower doors, custom enclosures, mirrors, and related glass services.
In 2026, our team expanded again to include kitchen cabinet refacing, and the company name became Lifetime Kitchen & Bath. Today, we focus on high-impact kitchen and bathroom updates, including cabinet refacing, wet-space bath remodeling, shower doors, mirrors, and countertops.
Rather than full kitchen or bathroom remodels, we concentrate on focused improvements that make a noticeable difference with less disruption. For kitchens, that means updating existing cabinets when the boxes are still in good shape. For bathrooms, it means replacing showers and bathtubs with cleaner, safer, more comfortable options.
